About the role
- Serve as the primary quality liaison between Raytheon (RTX) and its external supply base
- Drive resolution of supplier quality issues and provide performance feedback
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and influence decision-making through quality assurance
- Develop and implement process improvements and risk mitigation strategies across the supply base
- Interpret and communicate purchase order quality requirements and ensure flow-down to sub-tier suppliers
- Assess supplier quality capabilities throughout the program lifecycle to meet objectives
- Identify and resolve supplier risks and systemic issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, and other analytical tools
- Collaborate across Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs) for rapid issue resolution
- Oversee First Article Verification, Source Inspection, supplier assessments, audits, and reviews
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, key partners, and stakeholders
- Represent Raytheon professionally and promote company vision, values, strategy, and goals
- Maintain a home office and conduct regular visits to local and regional supplier facilities (~25% travel)
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree and 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years experience
- Experience managing suppliers using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.
- Experience with process improvements using Six Sigma, Lean, or other analytical tools, and presenting data to various stakeholders
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Security Clearance: DoD Clearance: Secret
- Experience with aerospace/defense standards such as AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, and AS9145 (preferred)
- Experience with CCA or PWB standards such as IPC-610, J-STD-001, IPC-600 and IPC-6012 (preferred)
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery (preferred)
- Experience with industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.) (preferred)
- Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain teams (preferred)
- Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.) (preferred)
- Willingness/ability to travel ~25% domestic, including driving and occasional air travel
- Must reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories)
