About the role
- Participate in the design and development of FPGA based signal processing systems for Satcom communications.
- Perform conceptual design, detailed design, simulation and testing of FPGA firmware and processing algorithms focused in the areas of satellite and wireless communications.
- Conduct laboratory and/or field test and/or experiments.
- Design testing procedures and coordinate to identify problems and solutions.
- Document the results, and the testing procedures with scripts, block diagrams
- Support analysis, testing, and operations teams.
- Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
- Evaluate 3rd party IP.
- Adhere to Systems Engineering process flows (requirements definition and traceability, design documentation, test planning and reporting, etc.).
- Other engineering duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Effective communication with team members and clients verbally and writing in English or French.
- Self-motivation and independent work with minimal supervision when required.
- Review problems analytically and creatively.
- Interested and passionate about staying up to date with technological trends.
- Participate in all training programs, suggest new design approaches, promote innovation
- Follow all measures and principles of working in an ESD safe environment.
