About the role
- The Tax Reporting role is responsible for ensuring that data is provided to recipients and regulatory agencies in compliance with IRS and state specifications and information reporting regulations.
- Performs the daily balancing of income payment reports and update to the financial activity screens to ensure accurate tax reporting at year end.
- Reconciles annual tax reports to financial YTD activity screens to ensure that all reportable tax information has been captured and will be reported to shareholders and regulatory agencies appropriately.
- Processes tax certification for IRS and other foreign tax agencies.
- Reviews and maintains an understanding of the Internal Revenue Service specifications.
- Year-end tax form production.
- Daily balancing in preparation for yearend reporting.
- Tax certification processing.
- Various workflow queues and assistance on tax compliance items.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Preferably 2 years of higher education and 2 years Transfer Agent knowledge and experience.
- Good understanding of the IRS reporting requirements.
- An understanding of IRS/State Agency guidelines and deadlines for year-end reporting.
- Computer skills, specifically Excel.
- Must be able to communicate written and verbally with others via email and or conference calls.
