About the role
- You advise our customers and are responsible for the architecture, planning and implementation of VMware solutions with a focus on VMware Cloud Foundation 9.
- You design VCF management and workload domains in greenfield and brownfield environments and implement them technically.
- You design consolidated, standard and multi-cluster architectures, taking scalability, operations and lifecycle management into account.
- You take technical lead in projects and conduct architecture workshops, design reviews and technical deep dives.
- You implement NSX‑based network and security architectures, including micro‑segmentation and Distributed Firewall.
- You are responsible for Day‑2 operations, including lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, as well as expansions and optimisations.
- You work closely with customers, project teams and presales and translate functional requirements into robust VCF architectures.
Requirements
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and the underlying technologies: vSphere, NSX, vSAN
- Technical experience with VCF Operations / Aria Suite (Operations, Logs, Automation, Network Insight)
- Project experience in at least one of the following areas: VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, VCF Operations
- Required certifications: VMware vSphere Foundation Administrator, VMware Cloud Foundation Administrator
- Ideally also the following certifications: VMware Cloud Foundation Architect, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Automation, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Operations, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Networking, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Storage, Advanced VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 VKS
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), knowledge of backup/DR/compliance concepts and insights into hybrid cloud strategies are an advantage.
