About the role
- Identify, pursue, and close new strategic partnerships that align with company goals.
- Build a scalable partner acquisition framework, including outreach strategies, evaluation criteria, incentives, onboarding processes and data/measurement models.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Compliance teams) to ensure partnership opportunities support broader company objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners, cultivating strong and lasting relationships.
- Develop and implement partner enablement programs to maximize engagement and performance.
- Monitor partner performance, provide ongoing support, and identify opportunities for expansion and collaboration.
- Act as an advocate for partners internally, ensuring their feedback is considered in product and service development.
- Create and refine the overall partnership strategy, balancing acquisition and retention.
- Establish measurable goals, track KPIs, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Mentor and guide future team members, contributing to a high-performance partnerships function.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, and strategic account management, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent role.
- Proven ability to design and execute partnership programs that deliver measurable business results.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a track record of driving growth through partnerships.
- Comfort with both leading (acting as the strategist) as well as executing (being in front of partners and prospective partners alike) as a team of one, with strong potential to grow.
- Comfort operating within a lean business; choicefulness as to where and how you spend budget will be critical.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Experience in healthcare, compliance, or highly regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Self-starter who can operate independently while collaborating across functions. Experience working in smaller businesses is a plus.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team is a plus.
