💰 $112,700 - $187,450 per year

About the role

  • Responsible for overall planning, directing, organizing, staffing, monitoring and reporting on, all patient care activities
  • Maintains full responsibility for all day-to-day functions related to patient/family care services
  • Responsible for managing the “Big 5” of programs in assigned area
  • Owner of Pre-Bill compliance and unbilled outcomes
  • Ensures that productivity and performance standards are being met by all disciplines
  • Ensures that all Conditions of Participation, regulatory standards and Standards of Care are being met
  • Regularly participates in internal and external hospice care related education programs
  • Coordinates closely with the Hospice Area Market Executive to set a clear, consistent, positive, professional and empowering example of professional management
  • Functions as an effective, positive and supportive senior member of the hospice management team
  • Assures that the highest standards of hospice care are met for all vendor/physician interactions

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of leadership and nursing experience in hospice or healthcare strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy
  • Thorough understanding of the Medicare Regulations for Hospice
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the functions of a hospice organization
  • Competency in general nursing theory, techniques and practice
  • Professionalism, sound judgment and effective communications skills are required
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state of employment, in addition to every state in the Area this role will be covering, highly preferred but not required.
  • Current CPR certification required
