About the role
- Review, negotiate, and draft a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, customer agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements
- Provide proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial matters, risk management, and compliance issues
- Ensure that Commure’s commercial practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy, intellectual property, and industry-specific regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and product development, to support business objectives and address legal challenges
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in a U.S. state or eligible to obtain such admission.
- Minimum of 4+ years in a dealmaking legal role within the technology or healthcare industry, with a strong focus on commercial transactions.
- Proven success in negotiating and closing complex deals with large healthcare providers, GPOs, and technology partners.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze the financial implications of legal agreements.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, healthtech solutions like RCM, Scribe AI, and EHR systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying complex legal concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
