About the role

  • The Vice President of Access Services is a strategic, visionary leader responsible for overseeing and expanding CSD’s Access Services division, with a primary focus on driving the growth and operational excellence of Sign Language and captioning services.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, partners, and a diverse pool of independent interpreting contractors while leading strategic business development efforts.
  • Collaborating closely with internal marketing teams and other stakeholders, the VP will identify and execute opportunities for expansion and innovation.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to scale CSD Access Services, focusing on new market share in VRI and captioning.
  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure alignment with CSD’s mission and long-term goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in interpreting services, accessibility services, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development, with a proven record of driving service growth and expansion.
  • 5–10 years of experience leading and scaling high-performing teams, including independent contractor networks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing interpreting agencies, with deep understanding of VRI, captioning, and related technologies.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and scalability.
  • Well-connected within the interpreting, Deaf, and hard-of-hearing communities, with established industry relationships.
  • Commitment to CSD’s mission and values, with a passion for creating accessible, inclusive communication experiences.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (Required)
