💰 $110,000 - $185,000 per year
About the role
- Execute a broad range of simple to complex field testing particular to the SPARC device during the assembly process with an electrical discipline focus
- Create detailed Test Activity concepts / roadmaps in partnership with project managers
- Develop Test Procedures with engineering groups and provide internal training & knowledge transfer to the test team for the execution phase
- Provide guidance and align activities with overall company goals to optimize test procedure execution through iteration and incremental improvements
- Identify, track, and resolve issues within the appropriate workflows
- Complete and review documentation including Factory and Site Acceptance testing both at the vendor and internal R&D / production phases
- Provide technical governance & oversight of specialized testing activities performed by internal teams or third parties
- Ensure all activities comply with CFS standards, regulatory codes, industry best practices, and safety requirements
- Collaborate with EHSS and engineering teams on risk assessments and root cause analyses
- Represent the Commissioning Team at vendor FATs, conferences, and cross-functional engagement
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ Years Commissioning (similar and cross functional experience in operations or maintenance is acceptable)
- High proficiency MS Office, BlueBeam or Acrobat, and 3D modeling programs
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Commissioning Experience (bonus)
- OSHA 10 (bonus)
- NFPA 70E (bonus)
- NCCER Mechanical Technician (bonus)
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
- Willingness to occasionally travel to witness FAT at vendor locations worldwide
- May work second/third shifts and/or weekends as dictated by project needs
