About the role

  • Identify key local community players to build a diverse, influential membership
  • Work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual member growth goals through direct sales outreach
  • Complete weekly outreach tasks via networking, sourcing new leads, and emailing potential members
  • Collaborate with Director of Operations and Regional Membership Director on membership growth strategy and promotions
  • Identify businesses for Corporate Membership packages and relationships
  • Process all new member applications and manage membership onboarding
  • Give tours to potential members emphasizing Common House’s community mission
  • Engage current members to generate referrals and leverage relationships
  • Help host the monthly Member Mixer and coordinate event details across departments
  • Serve as Common House brand ambassador by attending at least four local networking events monthly
  • Execute the Common Ground program annually with the Communications team
  • Participate in weekly All-Team meetings reporting on applications, cancellations, pause requests, and other membership items
  • Prepare monthly performance reports summarizing key metrics and trends
  • Manage the monthly membership budget to ensure spending stays within allotted funds
  • Reports directly to Director of Operations and is supervised by Membership Director

Requirements

  • New Orleans-based
  • 3 years of sales experience
  • Experienced community builder and sales professional
  • Charismatic, highly social individual with strong customer-facing skills
  • Extensive network and understanding of the city’s politics, diverse communities, corporate organizations, and social scenes
  • Comfortable with outreach, networking, and sourcing leads
  • Strong sales skills: selling experiences and closing deals
  • Ability to manage daily operations, tools, budgets, plans, and strategies
  • Exceptional drive, attention to detail, and polished presentation skills
  • Comfortable giving tours, hosting events, and engaging members for referrals
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Communications, front of house, and back of house teams
  • Reporting and analysis skills; prepare monthly reports and participate in weekly All-Team meetings
