About the role
- Lead the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the commercetools Platform and related products
- Work closely with Product and Engineering on AI-powered capabilities, including LLMs, agentic systems, model orchestration, and AI platform integrations
- Define and communicate the value of our connected commerce ecosystem
- Translate complex, technical concepts into compelling stories to inspire adoption and differentiation in the market
- Shape how we bring innovation to life across our portfolio
- Champion the commercetools Platform, refining its differentiated positioning to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth
- Lead messaging and GTM for add-on capabilities, ensuring cohesive narratives
- Articulate and evangelize the vision of agentic commerce
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers, partners, and developer audiences
- Drive joint value propositions with strategic partners and technology partners
- Partner with Product and Engineering to shape launch strategies for new capabilities
- Drive adoption and enablement through clear, technically grounded content
- Partner across GTM, Product, and Marketing teams to align on strategic priorities
- Identify market opportunities through an understanding of industry, customer, and competitive trends
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in product marketing or technical marketing
- Product Management or Engineering background
- Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, including LLMs, embeddings, inference workflows, and agent-based systems
- Working knowledge of AI integration patterns (e.g., model context protocols, agent communication protocols, tool calling, API-driven orchestration)
- Ability to reason about how AI systems interact with platforms, data, and external services, including limitations, latency, security, and compliance considerations
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers on AI topics and asking the right technical questions to produce accurate, credible messaging
- Experience in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, global organization
- Strategic thinker who builds deep product knowledge, influences roadmaps, and develops compelling launch plans
- Ability to enable and educate internal audiences to drive meaningful, actionable content
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills, turn data into a story and a story into a presentation
- Proven ownership mindset with excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently
- Track record of turning deliverables into repeatable processes that scale product marketing
