About the role

  • Maintain and maximize profitable relationships with clients
  • Grow the book of business through new client sales
  • Identify, qualify, and develop commercial insurance opportunities
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and prospects
  • Respond to and follow up on existing client needs
  • Partner, network, and plan for new clients and business opportunities
  • Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor staff
  • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention
  • Review client audits and maintain A/R and billing

Requirements

  • Hold the insurance license required by your state
  • Minimum of two years personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
  • Valid driver’s license and source of reliable transportation
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
  • Proven track record of business-to-business sales success
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems
