About the role
- The Advanced Technical Support Technician (Ramp-Up Technician) is responsible for supporting the ramp-up phase of machines and production processes.
- This includes performing failure analyses, defining machine setpoints, and implementing improvements to optimize performance indicators (KPIs).
- The role also involves supporting the Ramp-Up Engineer in preparing failure reports for suppliers, installing components, training production teams, and participating in key activities such as FAT and SAT.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced machine failures, identifying key improvement opportunities to optimize machine performance and ergonomics.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of complex issues and collaborate in developing measures to improve machine ergonomics, efficiency, and capacity.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of machine components and technologies, translating this expertise into comprehensive training for technical and operational teams.
- Lead machine setup, adjustments, advanced changeovers, and troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operational integration.
- Provide specialized technical support during FAT and SAT phases, ensuring alignment with project requirements and operational objectives.
- Design and deliver advanced training programs for technical teams, focused on advanced machine functions, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Act as the primary point of contact for advanced troubleshooting of PLCs, electrical and mechanical issues, proposing modifications or program adjustments when necessary.
- Coordinate maintenance routines (when required), ensuring efficiency and compliance with operational requirements.
- Demonstrate experience with pneumatic and vacuum systems across different technologies (e.g., Festo).
Requirements
- Technical education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- More than 4 years of experience in technical roles, preferably in environments with automated machines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with HMI and PLC systems.
- Experience in machine installation, maintenance, and process improvement.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Experience installing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
- High attention to detail in recording changes, troubleshooting, and training materials.
- Ability to identify potential issues and act proactively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Adaptability to dynamic project requirements and production demands.
- Commitment to compliance with Quality (QA) and EHS standards.
