About the role

  • Responsible for general accounting including accounts receivable, balance sheet entries, benefit, payroll, doubtful accounts, and other monthly and quarterly processes.
  • Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, bank account reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Partner with FP&A counterparts to ensure sufficient accrual balances versus actuals while providing recommendations to future needs.
  • Prepare daily cash flow reporting for the Leadership Team and forecast month-end cash position to ensure sufficient cash on hand for all liabilities.
  • Prepare journal entries, including amortization, depreciation, and revenue adjustment entries in preparation for month-end closing.
  • Complete month-end reporting, including Balance Sheet reconciliation backup for all accounts.
  • Communicate financial impacts with senior finance leaders based upon your own analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, often in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements.
  • Takes on additional tasks and/or responsibilities as assigned by Service Finance Leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or other general ledger accounting
  • Preferred DME or health insurance experience
  • Goal oriented with demonstrated independent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Successful in establishing positive working relationships with team members and others within the organization
  • Effective organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Skilled use of systems including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Sage 50 experience a plus.
