About the role

  • Lead and execute user experience research from planning to execution—applying a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Deliver compelling, actionable insights that shape product strategy, user flows, interaction models, and new feature development.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and data analysts to embed user insights throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Establish UX research best practices and processes that scale across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Drive generative and evaluative research to support design decisions across web and mobile platforms.
  • Represent the voice of the user across different product lines, with a focus on both novice and advanced collectors.
  • Champion a culture of user-centricity and advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and usability.
  • Report to Head of Product Marketing & Customer Insights and focus primarily on PCGS within Collectors.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in UX research, including leading studies independently in cross-functional product teams.
  • Deep understanding of research methodologies including usability testing, diary studies, user interviews, ethnographic studies, and surveys; experience with mixed-methods a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate research insights into clear, impactful storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Experience working with digital platforms, ideally in e-commerce, marketplace, or enthusiast communities.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Experience using tools such as UserTesting, Dovetail, Optimal Workshop, Figma, Qualtrics, or similar.
  • Passion for user-centered design and improving complex workflows or specialized user journeys.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
