About the role
- Operate all staking-related nodes at Coinbase and manage staking infrastructure
- Onboard, operate, and optimize proof-of-stake network infrastructure
- Build infrastructure to provide secure and high uptime observability and monitoring
- Innovate to optimize operations and yield for customers
- Engage with protocol developer community and partners
- Deploy upgrades and build new features to ensure fleet efficiency
- Participate in team on-call rotation and be go-to person for Ethereum
- Support major protocol releases and research technical changes
- Drive uptime, security, and yield improvements for protocol
Requirements
- Participate in an on-call rotation for all protocols that Coinbase supports
- Help onboard and coach junior engineers
- Manage one or more projects end-to-end, regardless of size or complexity
- Accountable for high-quality product launches and smooth project landings
- Partner with Product to influence quarterly and long term roadmaps
- Support best devops / infra practices to improve operation efficiency
- Drive operational excellence around uptime, security, and yield
- Work with internal protocol specialists and external protocol developer community
- Learn about Coinbase paved roads (devops/infra practices)
