About the role
- Prepare monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations, and cash flows.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial results presentations for executive management.
- Assist with preparing financial statement disclosures and support related to financing products and derivatives, working closely with the financial reporting, accounting policy and auditors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to test and operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures over platform accounting activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends / issues.
- Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned.
- Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience; Big 4 public accounting and/or industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries.
- BA/BS in Accounting or related field / CPA license highly desirable
- Able to work well in a dynamic environment, implement process improvements as well as work autonomously and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and team player.
