About the role
- Supervise, plan and coordinate the release management process, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between development teams, quality assurance, product management, and other stakeholders
- Create and manage detailed release plans, including the coordination of resources, schedules, and dependencies
- Continuously review and improve existing release processes, while introducing new tools and methods to streamline and enhance operations
- Work closely with the QA team to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the release cycle
- Identify and manage risks and issues that could impact the release process, ensuring project success
- Coordinate communication with stakeholders, including providing regular status reports and conducting release readiness reviews
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide network of stakeholders across various geographies, fostering clear and coherent dialogue regarding release management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or at least 4 years of professional experience in IT and release management
- Proven experience in release management, software development, or IT operations
- Strong understanding of software development, deployment pipelines, and relevant tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub)
- Experience working closely with QA teams, with a solid understanding of quality assurance and testing processes
- A background in QA and the ability to manage and coordinate cross-product QA is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical details and coordinate between diverse teams and stakeholders
- Experienced in conflict resolution, able to address team challenges and make strong decisions
- Skilled at identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
