Lead instructors are responsible for providing in-class instruction and are the “face” of CodePath’s classes taught to university students across the nation.
Plan for engaging lessons using CodePath curriculum and ensure the course is meeting program KPIs while integrating student feedback throughout the program.
Work with co-instructors and teaching assistants to coordinate in-class activities and support.
Lead online class sessions of approximately 100-500 college students.
Participate in pre-course instructor training (September 8th & 10th, 4:00pm-7:00pm PT) and be available for the Fall Academic Term (September 8th through November 19th, 2025).
Instructors must be free during one of these course times: Wednesdays, 3:00pm-5:00pm PT or Wednesdays, 5:00pm-7:00pm PT.
Use course feedback to implement course improvements and propose curriculum changes; optionally shadow other instructors and provide feedback when requested.
Seasonal, part-time position (up to 10 hours/week); compensation $75-$100 per hour; not eligible for medical, dental, or vision benefits or paid time-off.

3+ years of full-time working experience in a software development/engineering role
Strong understanding of iOS technologies and development
Strong familiarity with Swift
Exceedingly skilled in audience engagement, tight delivery, and Zoom classroom administration
Experience working through shifting priorities and learning, while maintaining organization and control
A passion for training the next generation of developers and some experience teaching in an educational, volunteer or work setting, for online learning environments
Exceptional professional habits (timely email, timecards, lesson plan submission, Slack responsiveness) in a fast-paced, part-time setting
(Preferred) 1+ years of instructional experience with a demonstrated track record of educational excellence
