About the role
- Lead the iOS engineering team, focusing on productivity, quality, and results.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
- Build best in class mobile apps.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Focus on overall product quality and user experience.
- Take initiative and be responsible for technical solutions.
- Own and maintain engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach new engineering hires and other software engineers.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed, including on-call rotations.
- Comfortable wearing a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), and other health related sensors.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely-related.
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Experience building iOS apps that integrate health sensors (Continuous Glucose Monitors, smartwatches, BP monitors, smart scales, etc.) and deliver a seamless, user-friendly experience.
- 9+ years of iOS software development experience.
- 9+ years writing software in Swift programming language.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing local databases using SQLite.
- Expert or mastery level using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Windsurf, ChatGPT).
