About the role
- Responsible for the retention, coordination, direction, and supervision of all driver personnel
- Manage and support all drivers including Independent Contractors (Owner, Operators)
- Supports successful field operations through effective resource management
- Manages the flow of all resources to ensure order delivery functions are completed per approved plans
- Execute successful operations to ensure timely delivery, pick-up of freight, and other materials
- Supervises the movement, loading, and unloading of freight and other materials
Requirements
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Ability to work under stress while remaining professional
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems
- Ability to communicate well with others using average writing skills
- Map and Google reading skills
- Detailed oriented, proactive
- Capable of working independently
- Experience with Excel and knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMW Preferred)
