About the role

  • Report directly to QA Lead / QA Manager.
  • Share knowledge with team members.
  • Participate in standups and QA level meetings.
  • Develop and execute both manual and automation test cases, scripts and plans.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of the automation test framework.
  • Assist with exploratory and regression testing.
  • Provide Standard Test Report to the QA Manager (and other stakeholders as appropriate) to update about the QA Status for both manual and automation.
  • Contribute to QA strategy and processes.
  • Work with the rest of the QA team to ensure the quality output is not compromised and that we deliver software with a quality first approach.
  • Track and maintain defects in the defect management system and aid the development team to ensure proper resolution.
  • Work with Developers to understand, mitigate and resolve software issues.
  • Triage issues found into the automated test scripts.
  • Consider stakeholder and client expectations and review quality standards, escalating to QA Manager as required.
  • Any other duties or special projects as reasonably requested by Coats Digital.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of total experience of software testing.
  • Experienced in preparing Test Plans and Test Cases.
  • Experienced with different QA Processes and Methods.
  • A structured and methodical approach.
  • Be analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and timely feedback to QA Lead / QA Manager and development teams.
  • Flexibility with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experienced with QA strategies for Cloud deployed software suites.
  • Experience of testing browser-based applications.
  • An interest in and knowledge of AI.
  • Knowledge/Experience of test automation for browser-based applications and making suggestions on the approach.
  • Knowledge/Experience of test automation tools/frameworks/languages for browser-based applications (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Java, Visual Studio Code, Rest Assured).
  • Experience of preparing automated test scripts.
  • Experience/exposure to Database and API Testing (e.g., Postman).
  • Experience of Agile methods such as Scrum.
  • Experience of working with BDD (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin, SpecFlow).
  • Experience of Microsoft DevOps.
  • Experience of working with / testing AI.
  • Experience of creating test cases from user or technical documents.
