About the role
- Develop and distribute timely market insight communications, summarizing global, North American, and Western Canadian energy market developments and their operational impacts.
- Support the petroleum sales forecasting function by maintaining accurate data inputs and collaborating with the Co-op Refinery Complex, Supply & Drading, and internal stakeholders.
- Support in the preparation of short- and long-term forecasts to support refinery production scheduling, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and margin fluctuations, providing insights that inform forecasting and pricing strategies.
- Support the administration of pricing programs by supporting rollout, monitoring performance, resolving discrepancies, and responding to inquiries from Zone Advisors and Local Co-ops.
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in energy or commodity markets, forecasting or pricing analysis, or financial modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or economics; other degrees will also be considered (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and a strong analytical thinker.
