About the role

  • Independently manage and process PCF filings across multiple states.
  • Identify and resolve compliance gaps, discrepancies, and potential risks.
  • Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to PCF submissions.
  • Support Legal with provider appeals, state inquiries, and SOP updates associated with legislative or regulatory changes.
  • Ensure adherence to filing requirements to mitigate fines, penalties, or compliance exposure.
  • Analyze and reconcile differences between surcharge filings and booked amounts.
  • Assist with reconciliation activities for captive and large‑account filings.
  • Prepare and validate supplemental invoices and financial documentation for brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decisions and ensure alignment between billed and filed amounts.
  • Serve as a liaison with Legal, Underwriting, Billing & Collections, state agencies, and external partners.
  • Draft formal communications, including regulatory responses and inquiries from state entities.
  • Track and report outstanding PCF items, including unmatched transactions and resolution progress.
  • Provide professional, concise, and executive‑ready communication to leadership as needed.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) on PCF processes, metrics, and performance baselines.
  • Provide guidance and informal coaching to Processing Specialists to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Support operational workflow by validating that work items are properly documented and completed.
  • Manage multiple state filing cycles concurrently while maintaining compliance with all deadlines.
  • Support annual renewal cycles, special initiatives, and complex filing projects.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation within SharePoint, DMF, and other internal systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and completion of applicable professional designations.
  • Minimum two years related experience including previous project experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with PCF filings or comparable regulatory programs.
  • Background in insurance operations, underwriting support, or financial compliance.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory guidelines or legal documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Experience working in a compliance‑driven, regulatory, legal, financial, or insurance environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing formal correspondence.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
