About the role
- Oversee customer’s freight through tracing and tracking
- Maintain contact with airlines, trucking companies and agents handling the freight
- Ensure service completion and provide proof of delivery
- Manage customer support by handling daily customer service requests
- Notify customers of any delays in shipping and dispatching points
- Prepare and assist with quotes for customers
- Enter shipment data in system and prepare rates and invoices
- Process pick-up requests and enter data in the system
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two to three years related experience
- Two to four years industry experience (preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and job specific software applications
- Accurate typing and/or data entry skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic with U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements
