About the role
- Manage and enhance the logistics operations of a specific branch
- Lead and oversee logistics projects from initiation through to completion
- Plan and supervise transportation schedules and customs clearance procedures
- Strategically optimise customs clearance procedures
- Identify operational risks and challenges swiftly and implement effective solutions
- Liaise regularly with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies
- Prepare and present detailed logistics performance reports
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including the coordination of loading and unloading activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or management within the ocean freight sector
- Deep understanding of customs clearance procedures, transport coordination, and regulatory compliance
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving orientation with analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in logistics software and standard office applications
- Fluency in English and French is preferred, with a good command of Arabic considered advantageous
