About the role
- Provide high-quality service to meet clients' changing needs
- Build constructive relationships with clients
- Track orders with various suppliers and relay information to the client
- Verify documentation and ensure it complies with requirements
- Issue necessary documentation in accordance with instructions and regulations
- Maintain certain reports (internal and external)
- Monitor shipments until delivery and inform the client of any developments
- Invoice according to rates provided to the client
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
- Respond to various quotation requests (from clients and/or international partners)
- Provide innovative solutions to clients
- Respond to requests for quotation (RFQs) and various bid requests
- Work as part of a team and support colleagues during vacations and absences
Requirements
- DEC (Diploma of College Studies, Quebec) or equivalent education level
- 3 to 5 years in the transportation industry, including at least one year in freight forwarding
- Comfortable coordinating FCL, LCL, breakbulk, RORO, airfreight and land transport, including oversized, hazardous and heavy cargo
- Attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively
- Proactive mindset and risk management skills
- Focus on safety and compliance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English and French
