About the role
- Coordinate and manage safety performance, compliance, and program management
- Facilitate training to employees
- Monitor KPI’s and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Create cost savings through LEAN & FIT
- Act as the subject matter expert for quality and safety standards
- Support new business implementation and scope changes
- Provide guidance to facility employees/management
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic math skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize in demanding environments
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to develop programs to reduce accidents
- Bachelor’s degree in transportation or related field
- 5 years’ experience in a supply chain, transportation, or logistics
- 2 years’ experience in OSHA regulations and State regulations
- Certified powered industrial truck trainer
