About the role
- Lead the national Ground network including Linehaul, Forwarding, Hubs, Customer Service, Account Management, and Network Support
- Provide direct leadership to the HUB Director and Linehaul leadership teams
- Own network performance: on-time delivery (OTP), cost efficiency, ICR alignment, waste elimination, and KPI achievement
- Optimize all linehaul operations including routing, capacity management, utilization, and service reliability
- Maintain strict cost discipline across all cost centers, ensuring effective budget control
- Lead the strategy and growth of all cross-border Ground products in partnership with Sales and Product Development
- Drive strategic initiatives to strengthen network performance, standardization, and scalability
- Oversee Ground regulatory compliance and all administrative network control functions
- Ensure strong collaboration across countries, districts, stations, hubs, commercial teams, and operational leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 12–15+ years of experience in transportation, network operations, or logistics leadership at national scale
- Strong expertise in linehaul operations, hub-and-spoke networks, and transportation optimization
- Proven success leading large, multi-functional teams including operations, customer service, account management, and administrative functions
- Deep experience managing cost centers, controlling network spend, and improving financial performance
- Strong strategic mindset with ability to design, grow, and scale network capabilities, including cross-border solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills at executive level
- Strong analytical and operational excellence background (Lean, Kaizen, CI preferred)
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field or equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program
- Minimum 10 years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years supervisory or managerial experience
- Working knowledge of IT technical disciplines related to systems architecture, operating systems, programming environments and databases; project management methodologies and disciplines in SCM
- Experienced in all areas of transportation, logistics and supply chain operations
- Experience with WMS and TMS Packages.
