About the role
- Lead and manage a team responsible for monitoring the freight business from an operational finance perspective
- Oversee the review and audit of operational financial processes
- Provide strategic guidance and independent daily booking/action advice to Country and P&L Owners
- Act as the escalation point for job costing queries related to A/R and A/P
- Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies in accounts payable, job costing, and intercompany billing
- Drive continuous improvement by supporting System and SMEs in system enhancements
- Supervise month-end processes ensuring proper documentation
- Monitor and analyze P&L performance throughout the month
- Oversee audits of invoices, credit notes, and duties
- Champion training initiatives and provide ongoing support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required
- Minimum five to seven years related experience
- Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience
- Preferred: MBA
- Minimum three years industry experience
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CFM (Certified Financial Manager)
- CFP (Certified Financial Professional)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific applications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
