About the role
- Own the architecture and strategy of CloudZero’s documentation, including information structure, content models, standards, and governance.
- Design, implement, and maintain AI-driven documentation pipelines to assist with content creation, updates, validation, and consistency.
- Establish and enforce documentation standards for tone, structure, terminology, and voice across developer marketing and technical operator content.
- Contribute directly to documentation as needed, particularly for new features, architectural changes, or high-impact areas - without being the sole or primary SME.
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to integrate documentation updates into product development and release workflows.
- Work with support, sales engineering, and TAM teams to incorporate real-world customer needs, feedback, and usage patterns into documentation.
- Ensure documentation accurately reflects CloudZero’s domains, including data infrastructure, cloud cost management, and FinOps concepts.
- Own documentation tooling and infrastructure, including CMS platforms, git-based workflows, and automation frameworks.
- Define and apply AI quality controls, including hallucination detection, citation enforcement, and human review workflows.
- Continuously improve documentation quality through metrics, feedback loops, and iterative tooling enhancements.
Requirements
- 5+ years in documentation roles supporting B2B software products, ideally in data, cloud, finance, or business intelligence domains
- Hands-on experience implementing AI-assisted documentation workflows, ideally as a technical owner or lead
- Ability to define documentation strategy for both developer-facing and technical/operator audiences
- Working understanding of data engineering concepts and finance or FinOps fundamentals
- Experience partnering closely with product managers and engineers to keep documentation aligned with product evolution
- Familiarity with developer-centric documentation infrastructure, including git-based workflows, SSGs, and docs-as-code practices
- Understanding of AI documentation quality controls (e.g., hallucination management, citations, review workflows)
- Strong written communication skills with a focus on clarity, consistency, and precision.
