About the role
- Write, maintain, and expand automated test suites covering functional, regression, integration, and API testing
- Build and improve test automation frameworks and utilities alongside other QA Engineers and the QA Manager
- Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
- Analyze test results, identify flaky tests, and improve overall test suite reliability, while still being truthful in the results
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and identify automation opportunities
- Contribute to automation standards, coding guidelines, and documentation
- Test across web, mobile, and API layers with an eye toward consistent coverage
- Participate in code reviews for test automation code and provide constructive feedback
- Flag gaps in test coverage and propose solutions to improve quality signal
Requirements
- Solid experience in QA automation engineering, with hands-on work building and maintaining automated test suites
- Proficiency with Playwright for web test automation
- Experience with Appium for mobile test automation
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing
- Strong scripting/programming skills in languages commonly used in test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into them (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
- Understanding of software testing fundamentals including test design, test planning, and defect management
- Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable test code
- Experience testing across both web and mobile platforms is nice to have
- Exposure to security, privacy, or identity products is nice to have
- Familiarity with performance or load testing tools (e.g., k6, Locust, JMeter) is nice to have
- Experience or familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code is nice to have
- Experience testing with Device Farms, either local or remote through services like BrowserStack is nice to have
