About the role
- Own and drive financial analysis and strategic insights related to gross margin, unit economics, and cost structures across the business.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability, cost drivers, and margin performance across products, customers, and initiatives.
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and operating cost trends, identifying opportunities for efficiency, optimization, and margin improvement.
- Lead cost management and margin improvement initiatives, supporting informed decision-making and long-term financial sustainability.
- Own royalties and usage-based cost management, including agreement tracking, calculations, accruals, and compliance with contractual terms.
- Prepare clear, concise analyses and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support pricing, investment, and strategic planning decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with leaders across Finance, Product, Operations, and Engineering to understand business drivers and translate them into financial implications.
- Support ad hoc strategic analyses and leadership requests related to financial performance, profitability, and growth initiatives.
- Own the AI enablement roadmap for Finance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across core financial processes.
- Design and deploy AI-powered automation, agents, and workflows to streamline forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial close.
- Leverage AI to generate deeper financial insights by analyzing performance data, benchmarking peers, and identifying key trends, risks, and cost drivers.
- Track adoption and measure the business impact of AI tools within Finance, ensuring continuous improvement and clear linkage to cost savings, margin improvement, and cash efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance roles within a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably at a SaaS or technology company.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Experience preparing analyses and clearly communicating results to stakeholders and management.
- Highly independent and proactive, capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience with financial systems and tools, including ERP systems and CRMS.
- Proven ability to challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and drive innovative solutions to complex business problems.
