About the role
- Provides individual, group and family psychotherapy services
- Screens adults and/or children for appropriateness of treatment
- Conducts psychosocial assessments and diagnoses mental health and co-occurring disorders
- Develops network of community resources and maintains liaison with these resources
- Keeps accurate, up-to-date records on clients served
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team of health professionals
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, majoring in Psychology, Marriage and Family Counseling, Social Work or a related field
- Eligibility for registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
- Obtain California licensure within 6 years of initial registration
- Current and valid AMFT or ASW registration number with the State of California, within 90 days of hire if not registered
- Familiarity with community resources desirable
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) may be required for some positions
