About the role
- Provide support to clinicians in mastering the optimal use and the maximum utilization of the EMR, including knowledge of the use of applications that work in conjunction with the EMR to manage patient’s care.
- Provide clinician training and support in the classroom, in person at the elbow, or virtually online, in department meetings, in groups and one-on-one.
- Serve as primary contact for learning about clinician’s EMR usability challenges and assist with EMR workflow knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in workflows and work with ITD teams for enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a multi-entity health care system OR Master’s Degree and two years of experience OR Associate’s Degree and five years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and seven years of experience
- Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field such as nursing, pharmacy, medical technology or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Strong clinical background and knowledge of patient care setting and clinical practice
- ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date (for Information Technology Division caregivers)
