About the role
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting tasks in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain effective internal controls
- Responsible for all cash and bank account activities for Cleveland Clinic
- Book and reconcile patient co-pays in collaboration with Treasury and Revenue Cycle Management
- Coordinate with Corporate Accounting on non-patient-related incoming funds
- Work closely with multiple departments, locations, and institutes to support overall cash management and financial integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- Three years of demonstrated financial management experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Health care experience
- Strong accounting background
- Knowledge in booking journal entries, performing account reconciliations and working through ad-hoc analyses
- Experience reviewing accounts variances and unusual variances
- Experience managing and leading a team of employees
- Experience using Excel, Oracle and working in an ERP system
