About the role
- Support human resources strategies and workforce needs for Tradition Hospital by providing counsel and direction to management in all aspects of human resources functions with a focus on acute care.
- Support employee relations, compensation, performance management, and development.
- Manage and mentor a seasoned HR team.
- Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and investigations.
- Interpret and advise on policies and programs encompassing all aspects of Human Resource Management to all levels of caregivers.
- Conduct employee investigations and make recommendations to business leaders.
- Provide support in communicating human resources center of excellence (COE) programs and their implementation to all employees.
- Counsel client groups and facilitate conflict resolutions.
- Navigate and pull reports from various systems such as Kronos, HRIS (Workday), My Learning, etc.
- Analyze HR and business metrics and provide recommendations to the HR Director and leadership.
- Support regulatory practices to promote fair and equitable treatment of employees.
- Determine development needs of specific segments of the organization and provide developmental training.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition and compensation for promotions, equity reviews, and job reclassifications.
- Support the process for all regulatory/accreditation surveys such as Joint Commission, CMS and ODH.
- Monitor compliance with organizational initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
- Five years of progressive Human Resources experience OR Associate’s degree and an additional two years of related experience, including project management experience OR High School Diploma/GED and an additional four years of related experience, including project management experience
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws (e.g. EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Human Resources certification (Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)).
