About the role
- Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including techniques that provide deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydrotherapy for Chiropractic patients.
- Administer therapeutic services, including electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and stretching and strengthening activities (Under the direction of the chiropractic physician).
- Work within the Scope of Practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and an Unlicensed Supportive Personnel under the Ohio Revised Code.
- Interview patients to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.
- Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.
- Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
- Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile and Organizational state.
- Assist patients to safely perform activities related to the development of strength and endurance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Training Program
- Current licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) by the state of Ohio
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
