About the role
- Assist research team with research study related tasks.
- Assist with completion of protocol related activities.
- As delegated, attain and maintain clinical competencies, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing and other testing.
- Assist with the development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol.
- Assist with the collection, recording and maintenance of research study records.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires and/or brochures.
- Maintains study personnel certification records (License, CV, CITI).
- Correctly follows nurse/therapist instructions, utilizes proper body mechanics and attends to patient safety.
- Report unusual observations to supervisor.
- Work with nurse/therapist to achieve optimal patient care/satisfaction by responding to nursing/therapy directions and physician orders.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED and one year of experience in healthcare
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer-based skills, such as work processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or must obtain within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- One year of healthcare setting experience (preferred)
- Research experience (preferred)
