About the role

  • Lead and develop a team of 12-15 technical outreach/sales professionals (inside and outside sales), fostering a collaborative culture and driving achievement of annual Program targets.
  • Lead market outreach and pipeline development for the Save On Energy Business Retrofit Program by monitoring market conditions, identifying customer and trade ally needs, and targeting high‑impact commercial, industrial, and agricultural retrofit opportunities.
  • Lead, track, and execute the outreach strategy to ensure consistent Program messaging, effective lead generation, and strong conversion from awareness to participation.
  • Enable scalable, data‑driven outreach execution by implementing lead tracking via CRM, consultative sales practices, and performance reporting (including Power BI) to optimize prospecting, partner engagement, and Program results.
  • Grow Program participation and visibility by building and sustaining strong relationships with utilities, trade allies, and industry stakeholders, while identifying and addressing barriers to participation through targeted outreach tactics and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 8+ years in business development or technical sales, including 3+ years in leadership.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM (implementation and use).
  • Strong background in the energy industry and with commercial/industrial customers is an asset
  • Technical or engineering degree/background and existing C&I/trade ally network is an asset
  • Proven success in customer engagement strategies, campaigns, and trade ally partnerships.
  • Creative, optimistic, and able to inspire teams to Skilled collaborator across cross-functional and multi-location teams.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.
