About the role

  • Provide leadership for the launch management function in the US/Canada and Mexico region
  • Collaborate and drive launch execution and escalation in key functional areas
  • Ensure integration and improvement of D3 methodology in the region is driven and sustained across cross-functional swim lanes
  • Drive flawless launch execution throughout the program portfolio
  • Develop team members to strengthen the launch management function and create process discipline
  • Utilize tools, processes, resources, and methodologies to successfully manage and launch product and expansion programs
  • Establish, communicate, and drive team and stakeholders to achieve business goals (IRR, ROA, payback, safety, cost, timing, quality, delivery, and launch performance)
  • Jointly manage customer relationships and customer satisfaction, in conjunction with functional / Customer groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience leading and managing a business or operations team, in engineering, operations, program management, or similar organizations
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years in a program or project management leadership role with solid-line management responsibilities or equivalent experience
  • PMP certification and MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in automotive program/launch management in a customer-facing role
  • Multi-functional experience, including product, validation, manufacturing engineering, and operations, preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple product development programs through to launch, with ownership of budget/cost/timing with customer approval
  • Willingness to travel between 40-50%
