About the role
- Lead and support a small solution engineering team focused on reusable libraries, shared capabilities, and platform enablement across product teams
- Provide coaching, feedback, and technical support to a senior-heavy engineering team; contribute to hiring and team development as needed
- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and engineering teams to enable delivery through shared standards, technical guidance, and coordinated adoption of platform solutions
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices across CI/CD, deployment, scanning, and scaling, taking a technology-agnostic approach aligned to platform needs
- Serve as an escalation entry point (Level 4) for complex application-related production issues, triaging incidents and coordinating resolution across teams
- Champion secure application development practices and compliance expectations, supporting vulnerability remediation and secure SDLC adoption
- Develop clear change-management approaches, technical guidance, and adoption plans to reduce cross-team friction and cognitive load
- Continuously assess engineering practices and tooling to promote pragmatic improvements in developer productivity and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership through mentoring, enablement, or cross-team collaboration
- Strong experience designing and supporting backend services and RESTful APIs in production environments
- Hands-on proficiency with C# (.NET / ASP.NET Core); Python experience is also highly valued
- Experience working with AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB) or comparable cloud platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly
- Working knowledge of API security and authentication (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, API keys) and general secure development practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-hosted deployments
- Ability to support production systems, including troubleshooting, incident response, and coordination of issue resolution
- Strong technical judgment, with the ability to guide design decisions, review solutions, and provide hands-on support when needed
- Proven ability to mentor engineers, communicate effectively, and influence technical decisions without direct authority
- Comfort working in globally distributed teams, adapting to shifting priorities, and collaborating across time zones
