About the role
- Design and deliver data solutions to support clinical trials
- Recommend design approaches and reporting options for successful trial execution
- Develop complex custom solutions to optimize data flow across internal systems
- Design and configure integrations with external systems
- Create custom reports and dashboards integrating multiple data sources
- Attend study meetings, review specifications, and provide technical consultation
- Perform code reviews, peer reviews, and resolve defects promptly
- Document work through release notes and ensure proper unit testing across environments
- Troubleshoot technical issues and serve as the last line of defense for escalations
- Lead and mentor team members, assist with training, and foster a collaborative environment
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and automate processes
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Participate in client-facing meetings and act as a subject matter expert for technical escalations
- Coordinate deliverables, schedules, and prioritization for the Data Delivery team
- Own CAPAs, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- MS/BA/BS in a related field
- 3–5 years of leadership experience and 4–6 years of technical experience, including at least 3 years in the industry
- Strong ability to design and develop SQL and Oracle stored procedures, views, and functions; experience with MS SQL Server preferred
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and large-scale database management
- Proficiency in Python programming; experience with other scripting or OOP languages is a plus
- Ability to read and develop in XML, XSLT, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proven experience with Power BI for interactive reports and dashboards
- Strong data visualization skills using Plotly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record in technical leadership and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Clinical trial experience is a plus
