About the role
- Join Civica’s User Experience team and play a key role in shaping products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to craft visually engaging experiences.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design ideas.
- Use and contribute to the Firefly design system.
- Advocate for inclusive design and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Promote a positive culture focused on continuous improvement and creativity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in visual/product design roles, working across multiple platforms and industries, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality digital products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design skills, including UI design, typography, colour theory, and layout across web, mobile, and other digital platforms.
- Ability to translate big ideas into visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces, making complex tasks intuitive and delightful.
- Skilled in creating high-fidelity prototypes and collaborating with researchers, product designers, and developers to refine and test designs.
- Deliver high-quality designs that reflect and evolve Civica’s brand, adapting to the changing needs of modern digital experiences.
- Experience using and contributing to design systems, ensuring design consistency and scalability across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility principles and best practices, ensuring designs comply with WCAG and other relevant standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions clearly, collaborate effectively, and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Support and inspire other designers, promoting continuous improvement and raising the quality and impact of the team’s work.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, FigJam, and other relevant platforms and plug-ins for creating, presenting, and delivering high-quality design work.
