About the role
- Provide safety and compliance training and professional development
- Respond to service calls from the public, transit services, and emergency resources related to safety issues
- Communicate with the City’s emergency services
- Monitor unit equipment functionality and conduct investigations
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate representing two (2) years of study at a community college in public safety (Police/Fire/Paramedic/Communications)
- At least two (2) years of experience in transit services, emergency services, or in a call centre, with experience using a computer, communication tools, and CCVR technology (CCTV/closed‑circuit video recording)
- Valid Standard First Aid, CPR, or AED certificate
- Working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, related federal and provincial legislation, and the Municipal Transit By‑law
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
