About the role

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to Transit Services.
  • Collaborate with coordinators of the Financial Services Unit (FSU).
  • Validate customer balances using the Electronic Fare System (SET).
  • Analyze financial transactions and produce financial reports.
  • Participate in the implementation or improvement of financial systems.

Requirements

  • Completion of a three (3) year post-secondary program with a specialization in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in progressively responsible financial management roles.
  • Financial analysis, accounting, data extraction and handling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of the City's financial policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of maintenance management systems and customer-facing software.
  • Familiarity with the mandate, systems, programs, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Directorate and Division.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
