Manage all aspects of project delivery using internal or external resources for major construction and infrastructure rehabilitation projects
Participate in project scoping, prioritization and planning
Provide oversight, monitoring and reporting on project progress
Approve all project expenditures and coordinate all project-related testing
Contribute to the review and development of departmental technical standards

Requirements

University degree in Engineering or Applied Science (4-year program)
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in planning, design and construction of municipal infrastructure, including at least 5 years of project management experience
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
Knowledge of planning, design, engineering activities, construction and rehabilitation of municipal structures, infrastructure and utilities
Federal and provincial laws, regulations, standards, engineering codes, and municipal bylaws related to environmental impact assessments
Project management principles, including cost control, cost containment and reporting
Ability to manage the activities of technical staff, consultants and contractors
Language requirements: Proficiency in spoken, read and written English
Driver's licence requirements: Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence without restrictions (or an equivalent licence issued by another province) with a maximum of six demerit points
