About the role

  • Provide a liaison function and technical assistance in various aspects for the coordination, administration and monitoring of Infrastructure Services projects and contracts through the design and construction phase of a project.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 year community college program in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of related design and construction experience
  • Basic principles of sewer, water, roadway, structures, construction practices
  • Awareness of various stages of project management to understand the correlation of costs with various phases of the project
  • OPSS, MTO, MOE and city standards and specifications
  • Computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, MAP and Computer Aided Design software)
  • Municipal working environment, including departmental, council and committee structure
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
