About the role
- Conduct standard traffic engineering field studies
- Investigate complaints regarding traffic signal timing and phasing
- Analyze traffic data using computerized tools such as Synchro
- Prepare written reports summarizing field traffic data
- Assist with preparation and evaluation of data required by traffic signal controllers
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a co‑op program at a Canadian post‑secondary institution
- Knowledge of traffic engineering, transportation, planning, and statistics
- Previous work experience in civil/transportation engineering is an asset
- Computer skills in MS Excel and MS Word
- Knowledge of Synchro traffic software is an asset
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
- Valid Ontario G‑class driver's license without restrictions
