About the role

  • Provides administrative and office support to program staff by performing word processing and typing, data entry, and filing tasks.
  • Compiles and provides information related to program documents and reports.
  • Maintains inventory as part of program operations.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal staff, external stakeholders and members of the public.
  • Organizes meetings and responds to inquiries and complaints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) and one year of post-secondary training in office administration, computer studies or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of related office/administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of City policies and procedures, including corporate and departmental guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, the public, peers and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
